ABOUT

Welcome! I am an Asian-American clinical psychologist specializing in therapy and coaching for individuals and couples virtually and in-person in San Francisco, California. Trauma (or stress) happens in isolation, while healing happens in relation; I am here to help you heal—to get unstuck and enliven the direction you want to go with compassion, intuition, humor, and my clinical experience that spans over a decade. I enjoy working with first-generation/BIPOC, LGBTQ+, or those lacking a sense of belonging at times. I work from a social justice framework to help clients dismantle internalized systems of oppression in order to live meaningfully, despite us having to exist in these realities.

SERVICES

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Overbearing demands in our lives may leave us with little time or energy to meaningfully connect to ourselves or our relationships, especially when we have experienced trauma, stressors or loss. I endeavor to create a nurturing and therapeutic space together to explore your values and obstacles so that you can break free from life-restricting patterns. I draw from a multitude of modalities to tailor treatment to your needs and goals, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy), brainspotting, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and psychodynamic and relational approaches.

COUPLES THERAPY

I help couples hold space for one another to reflect, repair, and reconnect by integrating attachment and other couples research-based orientations (i.e., EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy), to break ineffective cycles, improve communication, and rediscover the relationship and repair attachment wounds. I do not shy away from direct discussions about sexual intimacy and enjoy working with couples who are in non-traditional relationship frameworks.

DATING & RELATIONSHIP COACHING

Frustrations and painful roadblocks may arise while dating in pursuit of companionship, partnership, or self-discovery—especially with modern-day challenges like getting “ghosted,” swiping angst, or just feeling rusty. While in relation, attachment-based wounds may trigger unease or panic when entering into different phases of these relationships. As a coach, I am proactive and in the trenches with you (and your partner) as we engage in solution-focused interventions to help you achieve a specific, desired dating or relationship outcome.
